Being on the ball and using all the right ingredients is the key to success within the baking industry. This was front of mind at a recent event held by Lisburn based Andrew Ingredients in partnership with German ingredients supplier IREKS. The event, held at Kingspan Stadium, showcased the very latest in bakery innovations as well as the launch of a new, rugby inspired, bread product called NO.8.
Featuring an extensive range of exciting products, sampling and technical advice, the event revealed the latest innovative products and baking trends utilising IREKS products. It also featured the launch of IREKS premium bread product NO.8. Like the rugby NO.8 position, NO.8 bread is a true all-rounder packed with strength. The product ingredients include several grains and the bread is enriched with magnesium, calcium and vitamin E.
The event also included a tour of the Kingspan stadium, the iconic Nevin Spence Centre and a meet and greet with Ulster Rugby star Chris Henry.
Tim Andrew, MD of Andrew Ingredients, said:
“The Kingspan Stadium provided the perfect backdrop to showcase the innovations and expertise from our suppliers IREKS. Bakers from all over Ireland attended the event and the positive feedback has been overwhelming. The bakers welcomed the opportunity to see and hear about new products and innovations, including the NO.8 bread product, as well as the opportunity to talk to and network with fellow bakers.”
Maurice Van Tongeren, Executive Director from IREKS, added: ''IREKS was very pleased to partner with our trade associate Andrew Ingredients for yet another brilliant event aimed at supporting and equipping bakers with innovative and profitable business solutions. We were delighted to launch our fantastic NO.8 bread product at the Kingspan stadium. It was the perfect venue to showcase this new addition to our existing product portfolio. We hope the event helps to equip bakers with new ways to increase their business and offer unique and interesting products to their customers.”
